Marie Salas was born and raised outside the city of Los Angeles, in the beautiful port town of San Pedro, California, where she spent sixteen years of her life and where she met her husband, Alex. They then moved out of town and went on to have 3 children of their own. Marie has worked in education for many years. Notably, she worked for a nonprofit organization that focused on literacy and closing the achievement gap for children in rural communities. When Marie isn’t writing, she’s reading, listening to a diverse music playlist, watching movies with her family, eating sushi, or spending time with her three beautiful grandbabies Violette, Remi, and Santiago. Marie considers her faith and family to be most important to her.
